Kawainui-Hāmākua Marsh Complex Master Plan and EIS

Client: Department of Land & Natural Resources, Division of Forestry & Wildlife
Location: Kailua, O‘ahu

The EIS was prepared based on a draft master plan developed to guide programming and implementation of future improvements needed in the 986-acre marsh complex, a RAMSAR-designated wetland of international importance that provides flood control for Kailua, serves as an important habitat for endangered Hawaiian waterbirds, and contains numerous cultural and historic resources.
